Curacao Pictures

This website is meant to be a showcase for all the beauty Curacao has to offer. It also is a showcase of my work. Photography is my hobby for a long time.

The site is divided in the following sections:

Carnival is one of the main events on the island. Pictures of the parades are shown here.

Other events that I find noteworthy are shown here. That can be a happening or a natural phenomena that occurred.

Curacao has a lot of historical buildings. A lot of these are in rather good condition and a lot of others are in the process of being restored. Unfortunately there are also buildings that are in very bad shape. Pictures of historical buildings and objects can be found in this section.

Curacao has a rather dry climate. This means that most of the time the island is not very green. Still the nature is very attractive. There are also numerous hiking or biking trails on the island and most of these are very worthwhile. Some of these you can do on your own, for others you better contact a tour operator like curacao-actief.com.

This is the hidden part of Curacao. If you have never been under water, you have no idea of the beauty of this world. This is my formal education and although this is not my working field I still look at the stars as a hobby. This section will show pictures that are related to astronomy or the sky in the broadest sense. This is an area which I am starting to explore photographically so there are not many pictures yet. And the steady wind makes it difficult to take long-exposure pictures.

Although not related to Curacao I sometimes feel the need to show pictures taken during a vacation or business trip to other countries.
