On the road from the roundabout Saliña to Punda is on the right hand side the country house Hel. On either side of this country house and also across the street are several old houses, almost all made of wood, but also some of stone, all with a tin roof. Most of these houses are still inhabited. The whole gives me the impression of a piece of "living history", they seem no longer in place along this street, which has since been built up with mostly offices and stores; these wooden houses still show how this area around the mansion in the past looked like.
To stay In the style of the past, I have made these photos in black / white. The series is intended as a record of this piece of history, because recently a fire destroyed one of these wooden houses.
